Logistics Coordinator
for a large, well‑established organization in the construction and fabrication space. This position supports day‑to‑day logistics operations in a fast‑paced environment, coordinating the flow of materials, equipment, and fabricated components across multiple projects. The
Logistics Coordinator
plays a critical role in keeping operations aligned with production schedules while partnering closely with project teams, vendors, and carriers.
Responsibilities
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments for materials, equipment, and fabricated components.
Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and delivery tickets.
Schedule freight carriers and communicate shipment timelines with internal teams and external vendors.
Receive materials, verify quantities and condition, and ensure accurate system documentation.
Track shipments and proactively resolve delivery issues, delays, or discrepancies.
Maintain organized shipping and receiving records to support audits and project reporting.
Partner with operations and project teams to align material flow with production and job schedules.
Support inventory accuracy through routine checks and documentation updates.
Maintain a safe, organized shipping and receiving area in compliance with safety and company standards.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environments strongly preferred.
Familiarity with freight carriers, LTL shipments, and delivery scheduling.
Proficiency with basic computer tools, including ERP systems, inventory software, or Excel.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
Forklift experience or certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Exposure to steel or fabrication operations is a plus.
This role is well‑suited for professionals who enjoy operational ownership, cross‑functional collaboration, and contributing to the success of complex construction projects.
