Job Description Job Overview As a member of the project management team, the Project Manager will manage complex product development projects and will champion the business unit’s LEAN product development process. The ideal candidate is a highly organized leader with strong financial and technical acumen, capable of driving cross‑functional and cross‑business unit teams, monitoring project metrics and ensuring that projects are on track to successful completion. The project manager is expected to be a self‑starter, use good judgment, and elevate issues to management if necessary. This position is responsible for creating project schedules, executing programs to PMO & customer standards, identifying/removing resource constraints, and presenting project summaries to management, customers and other stakeholders.

Job Requirements

Lead core teams to achieve project objectives, holding team members accountable for results.

Manage project scope, schedule, and budget to align with business unit financial plans and goals for on‑time delivery and quality.

Maintain accurate project schedules in Planisware, incorporating input from team members, customers, and stakeholders.

Identify and secure necessary project resources.

Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to all team members on a regular basis.

Implement and actively use effective stakeholder management.

Utilize enterprise‑level project systems to manage plans, data, and actions.

Proactively assess risks and implement countermeasures; resolve project conflicts and establish clear escalation paths.

Plan and lead stage gate reviews, ensuring integrity of deliverables per established processes.

Collaborate with functional teams to validate product feasibility, process technology, and operational strategy alignment.

Identify cost savings opportunities in new/existing projects, and evaluate proposals by analyzing cross‑functional data.

Manage Capex spending in alignment with financial plans.

Perform costing reviews as required.

Promotes and develops best practices in project and program management.

Provides training and consulting for other program/project managers when needed. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project teams.

Build strong customer relationships. Manage and support OEM and Tier 1 customers and provide regular project updates.

Oversee, contribute, and maintain action items in technical conversations with the customer.

What Your Background Should Look Like

Certification: PMP certification required or must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or business with 12 or more years of experience; or Master’s with 10 or more years of experience.

Proven experience managing large‑scale, complex projects.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet scope, schedule, and budget targets.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.

Functional knowledge of cost models and P&L statements.

Good working knowledge and experience with connector, harness or integrated systems or manufacturing processes (injection molding, plating, stamping, machining, etc.).

Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.

Familiarity with AIAG PPAP change management and customer notification requirements.

Knowledge of DFMEA and PFMEA.

Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM).

Knowledge of general automotive APQP process.

Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 25%).

Fluent in English; both written and spoken.

Compensation

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $120,300 – $150,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location).

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits.
