Job Summary
Business Development Manager
– The role drives growth and revenue for our SaaS products. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in SaaS sales, strong leadership, and the ability to develop and execute strategic plans to expand market presence. The successful candidate will work on high-profile projects, facilitate go‑to‑market strategy, interact daily with customers, and collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team. We value initiative and discipline.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the SaaS industry.
Build and nurture relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Own, develop and implement the sales strategy in collaboration with marketing.
Collaborate with Product Manager to develop sales and customer growth strategy.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine offerings and align strategies, integrating initiatives into business strategies.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
Negotiate and close high‑value deals.
Monitor and report on sales performance and market feedback.
Own, develop and implement the CRM system in collaboration with identified stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Self‑starter required (demonstrated through references).
CRM experience required.
5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the SaaS industry.
In‑depth knowledge of the Gas Turbine business: 5+ years of experience (preferred).
Understanding of power distribution systems and/or heavy industrial equipment (preferred).
Knowledge of Automation Systems (preferred).
Excellent problem‑solving skills and a passion for delivering high‑quality software applications.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external customers.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the evolving needs of the role and organization.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in task execution.
Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Enthusiasm and willingness to work in a dynamic and fast‑paced startup environment in‑office.
Some travel may be required for sales opportunities and client visits.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer Engineering or Control Systems Engineering (preferred).
Salary range: $60,000 – $90,000 + commission‑based incentives.
