Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care as defined in the State Nurse Practice Act, including specialized end‑of‑life care duties.
Document care accurately and timely in accordance with the plan of care.
Assess and provide patient/family education related to diagnosis and self‑care plans.
Use equipment and supplies efficiently and maintain aseptic technique.
Manage pain/symptoms and evaluate patient response to treatments/medications.
Participate in professional growth activities and quality improvement teams.
Perform additional duties assigned by the Registered Nurse.
Eligibility & Requirements
Virginia State‑Issued LPN certification (required)
BLS Certification (required)
Valid Driver's License (required)
Ability to commute to Newport News, VA 23601 or willingness to relocate before starting (required)
Work Details
Full‑time, daytime shift (Monday‑Friday, weekend availability required)
Standard shift: Day shift
Weekly schedule: Monday to Friday; weekend availability
Location: On the road (home‑care visits)
