We are looking for a Workday Payroll Specialist to join our People Systems team! This role will be crucial to ensuring the accuracy, compliance and efficiency of our payroll operations across markets using Workday. As part of the day‑to‑day, you’ll be responsible for configuring, maintaining and enhancing our Workday Payroll setup. You’ll support key stages of the payroll process lifecycle including system updates, regulatory compliance and process improvements while partnering with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Payroll Operations, IT and beyond to deliver flawless payroll experiences. What You’ll Do

Configure, maintain and optimize Workday Payroll functionality, ensuring accuracy, scalability and alignment with business requirements

Partner cross‑functionally with HR and Finance to capture requirements and deliver effective, compliant payroll solutions

Ensure compliance with country‑specific payroll regulations, including tax, reporting and audit requirements

Provide subject matter expertise on payroll processing, testing, troubleshooting, and support for system enhancements and upgrades

Collaborate on Workday HCM initiatives, with a focus on payroll integrations and downstream system impacts

Support related areas such as Compensation, Time Tracking and Absence Management through cross‑functional project work

Own and maintain documentation for configuration decisions, business processes, and change management actions

Tackle sophisticated configuration and functional issues, and lead them through to resolution in alignment with agreed service levels

Contribute to the design and operation of processes that support data integrity, security, and adherence to ITGC control frameworks

Lead user training for Workday payroll functionality and support engagement with business stakeholders

Actively contribute to improving ways of working within the team through open, candid collaboration

Who You Are

5+ years of sophisticated, hands‑on Workday Payroll configuration experience

Proven working knowledge of Workday Core HCM, with added experience in Compensation or Time & Absence Management considered a strong plus

Deep understanding of payroll compliance, gross‑to‑net calculations, and payroll‑related reporting

Proficiency in building sophisticated Workday reports, including Calculated Fields, and in using EIBs

Familiarity with SOX, IT General Controls, GDPR, and associated audit frameworks

Strong problem‑solving skills, with high attention to detail and data integrity

Validated ability to support multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, while staying organized and flexible

Demonstrated capability in building effective cross‑functional relationships, clearly communicating expectations, and collaborating with stakeholders across HR, Payroll, Accounting and Audit

A collaborative mentality with the ability to influence service management practices, while also supporting strategy and execution in the HR systems space

Strong investigation and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Comfort with working across global HR processes and policies, including the ability to navigate matrixed environments

Experience in or interest in using AI to deliver high quality solutions

Where You’ll Be

This role can be based in New York, NY or London, UK.

We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in‑person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come in 2‑3 times a week.

The United States base range for this position is $69,541 to $99,344 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six‑month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
