Overview

Position: Core Workday Payroll Specialist Location: Austin, TX // Fremont, CA (Onsite role) Responsibilities

Assist with the configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing administration of the Workday (HCM) system. Provide system administration, including business process configuration, reporting development, end-user training, and data management. Troubleshoot system issues, provide user support, and conduct training sessions. Ensure data integrity and compliance through audits, reconciliation, and quality checks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system functionality with operational needs, and coordinate security access-related needs. Participate in system lifecycle activities, including requirements gathering, testing, documentation, training, and deployment of updates. Develop and maintain reports, and analytics to support decision-making. Communicate with vendors or consultants to support system. Familiar with all the modules of HCM. Stay informed on Workday releases and HRIS best practices, recommending improvements. Perform other related duties as required. Strong understanding of Human Resources (HR) processes and practices in the public sector. Proficiency in report writing and analytics within Workday. Ability to take ownership of an aspect or task on a project with little to no assistance. Ability to translate business requirements into system configurations. Ability to maintain a detail-oriented focus on data accuracy and quality. Ability to troubleshoot system issues effectively with an understanding of the unique challenges of the public sector. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle confidential information. Qualifications / Requirements

Strong understanding of HR processes and practices in the public sector. Proficiency in Workday HCM configuration, reporting, and analytics. Experience with Workday releases and HRIS best practices. Ability to translate business requirements into system configurations and maintain data accuracy. Proven ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple tasks, and protect confidential information. Employment type
