A Day in the Life of a Reimbursement Supervisor The Reimbursement Supervisor is a hands‑on leader responsible for supervising teams that resolve claim errors, prepare custom medical record and appeal submission letters, and support patient billing activities.
This role develops, guides, and supports team members through each stage of the revenue cycle while ensuring productivity and quality metrics are achieved.
The Reimbursement Supervisor works closely with the Reimbursement Manager to execute strategies that support optimal reimbursement outcomes. Experience in revenue cycle management within a molecular diagnostic laboratory setting is preferred. The supervisor will oversee day‑to‑day operations, monitor workflows, troubleshoot issues, provide training, review and approve PTO requests, and conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings to reinforce expectations.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of five years of health insurance billing experience
Minimum of five years in a supervisor role
Experience collaborating with patients, providers, and insurance plans throughout the revenue cycle
Experience researching and utilizing payor and state websites to develop custom reimbursement materials
Travel Requirements
10–20% travel as needed for training and meetings
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, exempt position, working remotely from your home office located in the USA
