Job Summary
Under the direction of the Development Database Manager, this position serves as the member of the Development team responsible for consistent, accurate, and timely updates to the development database as well as entry of transactional gift data related to financial donors. About Second Harvest

The Development Team ensures financial sustainability through marketing communications, philanthropic outreach, cultivation, stewardship and community engagement. The team is a vital link that brings the food bank’s programs and services to grow and flourish. Work Hours
M-F: 8AM – 5PM; training and work are conducted primarily onsite. Remote work may be accomplished as required by policy and supervisor permission. Job Responsibilities
Accurately enter all donor gift data in a timely fashion, in accordance with established processes and protocols (cultivations, acquisitions, miscellaneous donations, virtual food drive, donor advised, grants, and online donations). Perform regular database maintenance/hygiene tasks including updates to donor accounts, updates to transactions, duplicate account searches, donor flagging, and maintenance of gift codes for the Bloomerang database. Assign priorities to deposits from the finance department and work with supervisor and Data Entry Specialist to ensure all deposits are entered into Bloomerang. Perform regular imports/exports to and from Luminate and Finance package databases. Provide detailed information and reports on database entry to supervisor as needed. Maintain positive working relationships with other development team members and finance team members. Maintain training to learn about new Bloomerang and Luminate features and updates. Assist with other duties as needed, including coverage for front desk, printing and postage for thank-you letters, coordination of special events, communication with supervisor, team members, and food bank leadership about area updates and/or changes, and other duties as assigned. Requirements
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of one year of data entry/CRM database work experience. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external partners. Proficient in use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). Detail oriented. Ability to work both collaboratively and independently. Ability to effectively manage time and stay organized. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to sit for long periods of time. Accurate typing/data entry ability of at least 40 wpm. Knowledge of CRM database management and processes. Knowledgeable in data clean up and data manipulation. Nonprofit database experience preferred.
