Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Required Certifications and Licenses
Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
BLS certification through American Heart Association
Graduate from an accredited NLN School of Nursing
Scheduling Requirements
Night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
Every other weekend required; schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs
Full Time
Essential Functions Nurses in our float pool are highly valued, as they are able to provide extraordinary care to patients across all populations, including trauma, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, and alcohol withdrawal. The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized, age‑specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient's age‑specific needs and determine age‑specific treatment modalities.
