Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists in drug preparation, distribution, purchasing, inventory control, packaging and delivery. The technician supports pharmaceutical care and collaborates with the pharmacy team and other health system staff. Responsibilities
Assist the pharmacist in preparing, distributing and dispensing medications. Manage drug inventory, including purchasing, control and packaging. Ensure accurate medication labeling, packaging and delivery. Maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload and collaborate across the health system. Provide excellent customer service and clear communication in English. Required Qualifications
Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the California State Board of Pharmacy. Demonstrated customer‑service skills appropriate to the job. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to maintain an appropriate work pace and establish effective working relationships across the health system. Preferred Qualifications
One year hospital Pharmacy Technician experience. Knowledge of UCI Health policies, procedures and forms. Conditions of Employment
