Construction Inspector‑Electrical
to oversee federal construction projects in the Canandaigua, NY area. Job Title Construction Inspector‑Electrical
Base Pay Range $110,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yrLocation
Canandaigua, NY
Requirements
U.S. Citizen and must pass a federal background review and drug screen.
Responsibilities
Provide construction inspection services on multiple federal projects ranging in value from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars.
Handle large Federal Building Design, Medical Building Design, or other complex projects valued at $100 million or more.
Perform site observation and reporting for assigned projects to government personnel.
Deliver technical and administrative support.
Oversee construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities in accordance with established policies.
Analyze design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements and recommend compliance measures.
Review and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders, and claims.
Prepare field surveillance and daily detailed reports covering safety, cost, and engineering considerations.
Participate in pre‑construction conferences with government personnel.
Apply knowledge of Industrial/Laboratory building electrical systems, low‑voltage and high‑voltage, building automation, data centers, and complex electrical engineering elements in large buildings.
Education & Experience
Extensive experience with electrical systems of all types; significant low‑voltage system experience highly desirable.
Minimum 10 years of construction inspection experience.
Preferably Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other federal project experience.
Experience using RMS 3.0 preferred.
Engineering degree, RCDD and/or registered P.E. in Electrical Systems is a plus.
