We are currently looking for an Quickbooks Bookkeeper for our growing team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Experienced Bookkeeper with significant knowledge and experience with Quickbooks Online (QBO)
Responsible for maintaining the financial records of the company
Ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled in the companys books
Assist with other accounting-related services such as tax preparation or internal auditing
Position could be F/T or P/T, depending on the candidate
Direct report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Accounts Payable (A/P) and vendor payments using QBO
Process Accounts Receivable (A/R), billing, and client revenue collections using QBO
Process Payroll (P/R), bi-monthly, using the Paychex payroll system
Prepare financial reports and other schedules to track business performance over time; such as Balance Sheets, Income Statements, A/P & A/R Aging Reports, Cash Flow Reports, etc.
Reconcile Cash accounts monthly
Reconcile A/P and A/R balances monthly to ensure that all transactions have been recorded accurately
Review financial statements and other records to identify potential discrepancies
Ensure that all accounting records are kept up to date
Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end cutoff and close of the books
Other duties as assigned by the CFO.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree a plus.
Training & Experience: 3-5 yrs. experience (minimum) with bookkeeping and use of QBO
Certifications: Quickbooks certifications a plus
Accounting: significant accounting skills to record transactions, reconcile accounts and prepare financial statement
Data Entry: experience in data entry to record financial transactions and maintain financial records; experience in QBO, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
Communications: ability to effectively communicate with the CFO and other co-workers in a clear and concise manner. Reflect a desire to serve and support co-workers to provide them with information needed to make informed business decisions
Problem-Solving: ability to use analytical and problem-solving skills to find solutions to issues that arise in the company
Initiative: ability to be proactive, work independently, and be self-motivated in all work assigned.
ADDITIONAL This is an onsite position in Franklin, TN.
Travel is not required.
