Parsippany, NJ (Hybrid/On-site flexibility)

Interim / Contract (3–9+ months)

Hourly Rate:

$45.00 - $60.00

We are proactively building a

pipeline of experienced Interim Controllers

for upcoming engagements with mid-sized organizations in the

Parsippany, NJ

area. These roles are ideal for hands‑on finance leaders who thrive in transitional environments and can step in quickly to stabilize, lead, and optimize accounting operations.

What You’ll Do:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and month‑end close

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP

Lead and mentor accounting staff during periods of transition or growth

Support audits, reviews, and external partner relationships

Improve processes, controls, and documentation

Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Assist with system implementations, clean‑ups, or post‑acquisition integrations as needed

What We’re Looking For:

8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience

Prior

Controller or Assistant Controller

experience (interim/consulting experience a plus)

Strong GAAP knowledge and hands‑on leadership style

Experience in fast‑paced or transitional environments (turnarounds, M&A, system changes)

Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.)

CPA preferred but not required
