Associate Registered Nurse (DOH/NMRC #11903)
New Mexico Department of Health is seeking an Associate Registered Nurse to provide nursing care for Chemical Dependency and Medical Rehabilitation Patients at the New Mexico Rehabilitation Center.
Responsibilities
Perform nursing duties for chemical dependency and medical rehabilitation patients.
Maintain compliance with standards, certification, licensing, and statutory requirements.
Provide executive leadership to medical personnel within the unit while meeting quality care standards and enhancing personnel performance.
Ideal Candidate
Experience nursing care in physical rehabilitation and/or chemically dependent patients.
Maintain electronic medical records.
CPR certification.
Minimum Qualification
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure, or temporary license, or graduate nurse with permit‑to‑practice.
Employment Requirements
Maintain current RN license or eligibility in New Mexico.
Pass a pre‑employment criminal background check.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and complete a defensive driving course.
Working Conditions
Work in a hospital setting with exposure to visual/video display terminals and extensive computer and phone usage.
Lifting up to 30 pounds may be required.
Potential exposure to unpredictable and potentially violent patients in stressful situations.
Compensation Hourly:
$26.57 – $39.86 Annual:
$55,273 – $82,909 Pay Band:
C7
