About the Role: The Behavioral Technician - PRN (“Technician”) is an integral member of Community Reach Center’s Residential Services Division. The Clinician provides milieu management services to promote a safe, therapeutic environment utilizing psychiatric rehabilitation and other evidence‑based practice models.
Essential Functions:
Monitors activities of daily living for clients and provides skills‑training as needed.
Documents intervention and program activity and maintains accurate and timely clinical records.
Provides medication administration as directed by Colorado regulations, facility policies and procedures, and physician orders.
Coordinates care with consumer, families, center staff, and/or external facilities to ensure continuation of care.
Attends and participates in supervision, team meetings, and in‑services education and training opportunities.
Provides therapeutic crisis intervention and emergency services as required.
Monitors collection of urine drug screens and breathalyzers.
Responsible for cooking, aiding in house laundry and clean‑up of the facility.
Transports consumers to appointments as needed.
Complete admission check‑ins to units, provide regular safety checks on units, and monitor clients regularly.
Maintains confidentiality of consumer record.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Preferred bachelor's degree in human services or related field, high school degree required.
6+ months of experience working with adults who have mental illness, particularly those diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness preferred but not required.
Communication, organization, time‑management, and clinical skills.
Valid Colorado Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Bilingual Spanish preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
Light to moderate lifting is required.
Regular, predictable attendance is required.
Pay Information: $25.00‑$28.00 per hour
Eligible for $250/month Bilingual Stipend.
**Overnight and weekend shifts qualify for shift differential in addition to hourly pay**
