About the Role We are seeking a Full‑Time School‑Based Therapist to join one of our school‑based teams assisting in Districts 27J, District 1 and District 50.

We’re passionate about making an impact on our clients and the schools they attend. Achieving this requires innovative thinking and a creative approach to challenges. We collaborate and partner with school administrators, teachers, and counseling staff to best support our clients. Our aspiration is to enhance the health of our community.

Work You’ll Do

Provide behavioral health assessments and evidence‑based interventions to clients and their families.

Prepare treatment plans; monitor progress; provide follow‑up and case management / community referrals; and consult with other professionals, paraprofessionals, and school staff.

Provide 5‑6 scheduled hours of direct care daily.

Provide group therapy, offer trainings for school staff, and offer other psycho‑educational interventions as needed.

Document all notes / interventions in a timely manner.

Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed to clients on your caseload.

Ensure a safe, comfortable, and confidential therapeutic environment, officing in the school.

Receive ongoing supervision and attend 28 hours of approved clinical training per year, in addition to Center required trainings.

Enjoy a 10‑month school year (contracted work).

Summer work in June and July is available and encouraged, but not mandatory.

Enjoy scheduled time off as the work schedule aligns with the Public School calendar and school breaks.

Qualifications Required

Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology or a directly related field.

Must have current good‑standing registration in DORA.

Understanding of brief, empirically supported, solution‑focused interventions with children, adolescents, and families.

Strong familiarity with DSM‑V, ICD‑10 and diagnostic techniques.

Strong comfort and familiarity with crisis intervention skills and processes.

Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Fabulous attitude and belief in the resiliency of clients.

Preferred

Professional Counseling Licensure: LP, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.

Schedule 2 positions available in 2 separate districts. Please let hiring managers know which positions (if not both) that you are interested in.

District 50: Mon‑Fri with holiday breaks and summers off.

District 12: Mon‑Fri School hours. This position has two schools the therapist will be split between.

Salary Information Starting Pay Range:

$58,000‑$63,000 (Independently Licensed) annually for the 10‑month school year.

$50,000‑$53,000 (Unlicensed) annually for the 10‑month school year.

Option to work summer programs for additional pay.

Eligible for $250/month Bilingual Stipend.
