Responsibilities
Lead and guide to achieve successful manufacturing of vinyl records.
Organize and monitor daily workflow to ensure timely execution of production tasks.
Ensure accurate production of products according to job specifications.
Maintain precise daily counts and records, including scanning into IFS after completion.
Collaborate closely with the production planning team and production quality assurance to meet deadlines and ensure product accuracy.
Implement effective communication strategies to relay job expectations, monitor progress and evaluate results.
Uphold safety standards by educating personnel on equipment usage and maintaining compliance with established protocols.
Manage inventory levels and initiate purchase requests for necessary production materials.
Production Target Setting And Quality Assurance
Set and maintain clear production and quality goals for the department.
Execute production schedules and plans to meet demand while optimizing resources.
Coordinate weekly planning meetings with all pressing associates.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure products meet quality standards through monitoring and quality control processes.
Process Improvement And Resource Management
Identify areas for process optimization to reduce costs and enhance productivity. All process changes should be approved by relevant parties before implementation.
Manage labor, equipment, and materials to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
Explore advanced cost control methods to stay within budget.
Health And Safety, Inventory Management, And Problem Solving
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and promoting a safe culture.
Monitor and order materials as needed, and scrap obsolete materials. Control material return activities.
Address production issues and resolve operational problems as they arise.
Training And Development
Provide training and guidance to build team skills and knowledge.
Review individual associate output numbers with leadership and develop and implement improvement plans with specific associates as needed.
Fill out 1 week, 1 month, 90‑day performance evaluations.
Consider specialized training/certifications with support from relevant parties.
Reporting And Communication
Generate daily reports on production metrics, efficiency, and quality.
Focus on meeting set production targets, output per shift, operator performance, and quality metrics.
Encourage effective communication across all operations, fostering collaboration between pressing, sleeving, assembly, packaging, shipping and warehouse departments.
Continuous Improvement And Innovation
Build a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the manufacturing operation.
Keep team members informed of their production numbers throughout the day.
People
