There’s way more to H-E-B than our 400+ stores. To support our manufacturing and warehouse campus locations, the H-E-B Industrial Facility Services team provides maintenance, repair, and construction in ammonia refrigeration, plant utilities, automated systems, and building services.
Responsibilities
Ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of warehouse and manufacturing ammonia refrigeration and steam systems.
Lead daily activities for the operation, maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance of ammonia refrigeration and steam systems.
Collaborate with customers, engineers, and contractors in the design and construction of new industrial facilities; help to establish standard specifications.
Administer and maintain the Process Safety Management Program for assigned facilities.
Stay current on and research new technologies related to the business.
Maintain knowledge of and comply with current regulatory requirements.
Management
Support strategic goals of Facility Services; make daily tactical decisions that substantially impact the financial and reliability status of facilities.
Train, supervise, direct, and motivate subordinate stationary operators, assistant operators, and foremen.
Create a team environment; foster training and development to ensure partners provide quality repairs and superior service; set expectations of sustained superior performance.

We Are Looking For
AAS degree and experience, or equivalent work experience.
RET ACIRO certification.
What Is Your Background?
AAS degree plus 3+ years of experience OR 5+ years of experience as a high‑level technician plus 3+ years as a foreman.
5+ years of field experience in mechanical system operations, repair, and maintenance with boilers, chillers, controls, plumbing, and electrical.
RET ACIRO certification.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Additional Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PC skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word) and a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Travel by car or plane with overnight stays.
Work overnights, rotating schedules, holidays, and weekends.
Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more; lift and carry 50 lbs.
Walk long distances; climb ladders and stairs to gain rooftop access; stand, stoop, crawl; work in hot and cold spaces; maneuver around equipment.
Work around industrial facilities, including food, manufacturing, warehousing, transportation, and refrigerated environments.
Respond to emergency situations any time of day or night.
