Overview Fast‑paced manufacturer is seeking a Process Engineer to work in the assembly department. In this role you will report to an Engineering Lead and be responsible for the following tasks:
Key Highlights
Support continuous improvement and troubleshooting in an assigned plant area.
Identify and drive cost‑saving projects based on scrap and efficiency metrics.
Provide technical assistance with equipment issues and perform hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting (pneumatics, actuators, cameras, vision systems, motors, gears, conveyors).
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting with sensors and robotics.
Collaborate with industrial, product, launch, and quality engineering teams.
Update FMEAs, work instructions, and utilize 2D/3D modeling for tooling, fixtures, and jigs.
Oversee 3–4 engineering projects simultaneously.
Other duties as directed by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (mechanical preferred).
1–2 years of experience in a similar process engineering role in manufacturing.
Experience with continuous improvement (efficiency and scrap reduction).
Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
2D and/or 3D modeling proficiency.
Formal problem‑solving tools (5WHY, fishbone, 8D, etc.).
Microsoft Office competency.
Preferred but NOT Required Skills
Automotive supplier work experience.
Automated manufacturing experience, including robotics and PLCs.
Assembly experience.
Project management, including timeline oversight.
PLC troubleshooting.
