– Community Health Center Retail Pharmacy Technician
Location:
641 W. 63rd St., Chicago, IL
Schedule:
2-3 days per week
Pharmacy Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Tuesday 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM; Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; every 2nd and 4th Saturday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

We are looking for a highly motivated technician to work in a company‑owned retail contract pharmacy. Technicians play an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities most in need, developing close relationships with patients and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication.
Responsibilities
Maintain professional working relationships at all times with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals.
Adapt to changing pharmacy requirements and demands.
Be available to customers/patients at all times.
Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with customers.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Organize medications for the pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantities.
Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Work with the pharmacy team to ensure best practices are followed regarding 340B.
Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent (preferred).
Registration in the state of Illinois (if required).
At least 2 years of retail pharmacy technician experience.
340B experience preferred.
Experience in specialty pharmacy (HIV/AIDS/Hepatitis C) preferred.
Spanish speaking preferred.
May require vendor credentialing.
Anticipated hourly range:
$21.20 – $27.18 per hour
