Actuarial Analyst III – Elevance Health
Location:
This role requires associates to be in-office 1–2 days per week with flexibility for virtual work. An alternate location may be considered if the candidate resides within commuting distance of an office.
How You Will Make An Impact
Benefit Ownership:
Manage assigned pricing models and benefits, ensuring data accuracy, methodology consistency, and timely bid filing readiness.
Contract Interpretation:
Review vendor and benefit contracts, translating terms into accurate pricing assumptions and model inputs.
Data Validation & Issue Resolution:
Validate data sources, troubleshoot discrepancies, and resolve issues quickly to maintain model integrity.
Experience Analysis:
Conduct experience studies to support pricing decisions and assumption development.
Audit Support:
Assist with CMS bid desk reviews and audits by preparing documentation and explanations of pricing methodologies.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead special projects, develop process improvements, and provide guidance and training to junior analysts.
Minimum Requirements Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams and at least three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experiences
Intermediate Excel experience.
Intermediate SQL query experience.
Strong organization and project management experience.
Salary & Benefits For candidates working in person or virtually in the specified locations, the salary range for this position is $91,200.00 to $164,160.00.
