Our client, a leading institution in higher education, is seeking a dedicated and strategic Department Manager-Higher Education to join their dynamic team. As a Department Manager-Higher Education, you will be instrumental in overseeing departmental operations, fostering growth, and ensuring the effective management of resources. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?
Lead the management of overall departmental operations, processes, and strategic planning to support institutional goals.
Serve as a primary resource for staff, faculty, and researchers on policies and procedures, ensuring clarity and compliance.
Develop and present innovative improvement plans to enhance workflow efficiency and promote departmental growth.
Oversee and approve departmental budgets, including post-award grant expenses and workflows, ensuring financial integrity.
Support academic administration, faculty processes, and coordinate department events to foster a collaborative environment.
What's Needed?
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative experience, including supervising departmental operations and managing budgets.
Experience with faculty hiring, payroll, and research administration is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to interact effectively at all levels.
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management at an intermediate level or higher.
