Staff Environmental Scientist – Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA)
Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist with up to three years of experience to join our growing Environmental Department in our Orlando, Florida office. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career environmental professional who’s eager to build technical skills, gain hands‑on field and reporting experience, and grow alongside a well‑established and respected firm.
What You’ll Do
Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
Brownfield redevelopment and State Voluntary Cleanup projects
Underground Storage Tank (UST) assessment and removal
Site remediation using a variety of technologies
Environmental sampling, field investigations, and data collection
Preparation of clear, accurate reports and technical deliverables, including figures, tables, and logs
Completion of daily field reports, chain‑of‑custody forms, field notes, sketches, and related documentation
As you grow, you’ll have opportunities to expand into:
Regulatory agency interaction
Vapor intrusion investigations
Asbestos and lead‑based paint surveys
Project coordination and management responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
0–3 years of experience with Phase I and/or Phase II ESAs (brownfields experience a plus, but not required)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self‑motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within a collaborative team environment
