Job Title: Lead Teacher
Location: Fitchburg, MA
Start Salary: $69,126/year, with additional compensation up to $78,497/year based on education, licensure, and experience.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm.
$1,000 Sign‑on Bonus.
Company Overview Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The CARES School in Fitchburg serves individuals aged 6‑21 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Intellectual Disability.
Role Overview As the Lead Teacher, you will:
Prepare and teach lessons in accordance with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework and students’ IEPs.
Work collaboratively with the leadership team to promote best practices and ensure the implementation of quality programming.
Ensure compliance with IEPs and other regulations.
Hold staff accountable to policies, procedures, and protocols, and provide direct supervision.
Work diligently to meet the needs of our students, both in the classroom and by being a positive role model.
Complete required documentation in a timely manner.

Qualifications
At least 21 years of age.
Valid driver’s license required.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Current teaching license (Initial or Professional) in Moderate Disabilities required.
Minimum of 3 years of classroom experience.
Ability to attend a 2‑week paid orientation (Monday–Friday, 8 am–4 pm) in Rutland, MA.
