Where You Will Work:

The amazing team at Southshore’s Community Hospital is an experienced group of caregivers who treat patients with various emergent and critical care needs. This Level IV trauma unit (17 monitor bed) welcomes experienced and strong communicators who are skilled and engaged to provide a compassionate level of patient centered care with collaboration and a commitment to delivery high quality, exceptional care. This high volume, fast‑paced unit is needing dynamic teammates like you!

We’re Looking For:

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical nursing required - Would consider a newly licensed RN with EMT, Paramedic, ED externship experience

What You’ll Do:

Deliver individualized care

using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Monitor and respond to changes

in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Promote patient safety

by implementing risk‑reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly.

Educate patients and families , adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge.

Coordinate care and discharge planning

through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum.

Lead and delegate effectively , fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel.

Engage in quality improvement initiatives

to enhance patient experience and unit performance.

Maintain professional growth

through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities.
