Description To meet departmental goals, the Transport Technician is required to act as a facilitator in providing the necessary assistance to the calling organizations, physicians and customers. This includes obtaining the appropriate information for service, and providing any additional assistance necessary to meet the department‘s needs.
Specific responsibilities of the Transport Technician include responding to requests for assistance and communications with all areas within BHSF, record keeping, data entry, clerical duties and support of other Transport Technicians assigned to the BTC Dispatch. All responsibilities shall be carried out with a positive customer service approach.
Estimated pay range for this position is $17.27–$19.66 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications Degrees:
High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
EMT, RN student, and/or 2‑year ED Tech/EMT experience, or an internal candidate that has been cross‑trained to perform the Transport Tech job functions as listed on this job description.
Emergency Center Communications experience preferred.
Medical terminology preferred.
Must demonstrate a professional appearance and manner and superior organizational skills.
Demonstrates positive interpersonal communications.
Bilingual English/Spanish.
Minimum Required Experience: 2 Years
