Job Responsibilities

The Account Specialist II will assist Account Executives/Brokers on assigned accounts, managing key processes and undertaking client‑facing and internal activities related to our commercial risk business.

Identify and retrieve relevant compliance documentation necessary to process renewals, invoices, surplus lines filing and any other ACS deliverables.

Perform activities to initiate a renewal, process an invoice, issue auto IDs, process surplus lines, issue emergency certificates, resolve premium account discrepancies, initiate endorsements, process vehicle suspensions and other client requests.

Mentor and assist junior staff with more complex account functions.

React to field office requests via Broker Desktop tools that require timely action.

Ensure system of record (Bridge & Broker Desktop) is accurate and current so that outputs and client deliverables meet guidelines and policy detail.

Liaise and respond to inquiries from outsourced providers to manage timeliness and quality of outputs.

Upload, index or attach documents in the Document Management System.

Perform pre‑renewal account review with the field office to meet client expectations regarding timelines and accuracy of deliverables (certificates, invoices, endorsements, etc.).

Help colleagues troubleshoot and resolve client issues within the ACS team.

Upon policy placement create policy summaries, schedules of insurance, calculate premium allocations, and provide quality review of all post‑placement outputs.

Manage, monitor and complete special client projects.

Participate in office and client visits.

Required Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree or five plus years of industry experience.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with external and internal clients on client‑servicing activities.

Understands operation processes and methodologies; proven ability to work effectively with moderate guidance and supervision.

Must have strong Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel for importing/exporting data, strong Word skills, and some VLOOKUP experience is a plus.

Successfully operates in a fast‑paced, output‑driven environment that requires staff to multi‑task, react quickly and perform tasks that are not routine.

Must maintain an appropriate insurance broker’s license or obtain one within six months of hire.

Preferred Experience: 3‑5 years of commercial insurance experience.

401(k) Plan: The Synectics Investment Savings Retirement Plan. Employees 21 years or older may enroll in the 401(k) Plan on the first enrollment date that is at least 30 days after employment begins. Enrollment dates are each January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.

Technical Certification Bonus: Up to $500 for an approved professional certification related to the current position. Only one bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Bonus is awarded 90 days after receipt of documentation confirming successful completion.
