For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering a $3,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified applicants. This bonus will be prorated for part‑time positions. Please note this bonus is not available for per‑diem positions. Location: Congress Street, Portland, Maine

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role We are seeking a motivated and reliable Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to join our Surgical Care Pediatrics team in Portland. This position plays a key role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients and families by handling incoming calls, managing referrals, and supporting day‑to‑day administrative operations.

What You’ll Do

Answer incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling, questions, and referrals.

Support the clinical team by ensuring accurate and timely communication.

Maintain organized and thorough documentation in electronic systems.

Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

License/Certifications: N/A

Experience: Six months of medical office experience required.
