Secret clearance

to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama.

This is an onsite position.

The Project/Policy Analyst will provide integrated analytical support across policy and project domains for AMC. This position combines strategic policy analysis with project support to ensure effective implementation of organizational initiatives while maintaining regulatory compliance. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Policy Analysis Responsibilities

Analyze existing and emerging DoD, Army, and AMC policies to determine impact and implementation requirements

Research and evaluate policy alternatives and best practices across government and industry

Develop policy recommendations based on thorough analysis and stakeholder requirements

Draft policy documents, implementation guidance, and supporting materials

Review proposed policies and project deliverables for compliance with higher-level regulations and directives

Support the development and maintenance of AMC policy frameworks

Conduct gap analyses between existing policies and organizational/project requirements

Monitor policy effectiveness and recommend improvements

Research legislative and regulatory changes that may impact AMC policies and projects

Develop metrics to measure policy implementation and effectiveness

Provide policy interpretation guidance to project teams and stakeholders

Assist in resolving policy conflicts and inconsistencies

Support policy standardization and alignment across the organization

Project Analysis and Support

Analyze project performance data and provide insights to support decision‑making

Support the development and maintenance of project management plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, and quality

Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or risks

Conduct analysis of project KPIs to measure success and identify improvement opportunities

Support risk and issue identification, documentation, and analysis

Analyze change requests and assess impacts on project scope, schedule, and budget

Prepare analytical reports and status updates for project stakeholders

Analyze project data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement

Support resource planning through analysis of project needs and capacity

Track and analyze deliverables to ensure timely completion of project milestones

Conduct financial analysis to support budget tracking and reporting

Perform quality analysis throughout the project lifecycle

Analyze stakeholder requirements and translate into actionable project activities

Integrated Responsibilities

Coordinate policy reviews with subject matter experts and project stakeholders

Prepare briefings and presentations on policy and project matters for leadership

Support policy working groups, committees, and project reviews as required

Create and maintain policy tracking systems, databases, and project documentation

Support policy communications and change management initiatives related to projects

Assist in developing implementation strategies for new policies and project initiatives

Serve as an analytical liaison between project management, functional teams, and policy stakeholders

Support decision‑making processes through comprehensive data collection and analysis

Identify and recommend process improvements based on policy and project analysis

Coordinate and document meetings and action items

Support program reviews and audits with analytical insights and documentation

Education and Experience

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field from an accredited college or university

2+ years of experience in policy analysis, project analysis, or related analytical role

Experience with research and analytical methodologies

Background in documentation development and management

Experience supporting project documentation and reporting

Background in stakeholder coordination and communication

Familiarity with government or military policy frameworks

Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation

Required Skills and Competencies

Experience working in administrative/support roles at high Government echelons

Experience with planning, logistics, intelligence, and policy to support senior Government leaders

Experience with large‑scale military operations

Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate complex policy issues and project performance

Excellent research capabilities using various sources and methodologies

Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques

Strong written communication skills for policy documentation and analytical reports

Experience drafting clear and concise policy documents and project analyses

Ability to interpret regulations and translate into actionable guidance

Understanding of project management principles including schedule, budget, and resource management

Knowledge of risk management and issue analysis

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in policy analysis and data interpretation

Experience coordinating with diverse stakeholders

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and visualization

Knowledge of document management and version control

Ability to present complex policy and project information in understandable formats

Experience supporting decision‑making processes with analytical insights

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple analytical priorities

Understanding of change management principles

Experience tracking deliverables, milestones, and compliance requirements

Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills

Professional demeanor and communication style

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Adaptability to changing priorities and requirements

Experience with data visualization and reporting tools

Knowledge of basic data collection and analysis techniques

Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances

Willingness to work on‑site in Huntsville, Alabama
