Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance Vice President
Job Summary
The role will reside within the Finance Division, under the Finance Risk and Assurance group, specifically the Regulatory Reporting Quality Assurance team (RRQA). The RRQA team is present in New York, Glasgow and Mumbai. The Vice President will perform second line independent validations, promoting completeness and accuracy of regulatory reporting data quality by independently validating Capital, Capital Planning, Credit and Market Risk, and Recovery & Resolution Planning processes from transaction capture through global regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
Cultivate relationships across the organization with key constituency groups (Regulatory Reporting, Product Controllers, Operations, Treasury, Technology, Credit Risk, Market Risk).
Monitor, track and present project progress to Senior Management.
Perform data analysis to identify anomalies or issues in the testing approach.
Identify root cause for control deficiencies and evaluate management action plans.
Document internal activities, identified issues and conclusions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business discipline and 10+ years of work experience, preferably in financial services or a public accounting firm.
Skills Required
Experience in the financial services industry, understanding of CCAR, Basel, Liquidity and/or other regulatory reporting.
Organization and presentation of data from multiple sources.
Strong documentation skills for audit scope, test papers and emerging issues.
Preferred
Audit (external, internal, SOX) experience.
Experience testing and assessing remediation plans.
Robust analytical and problem‑solving skills with professional skepticism.
Strong communication, presentation and written skills; ability to influence senior subject‑matter experts.
Attention to detail and efficient time management.
Positive, proactive, engaged and open to new ways of working.
Team orientation and collaboration with peers and leadership.
Compensation Expected base pay rates: $120,000 – $205,000 per year at commencement. Total compensation may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, short‑ and long‑term incentives and other Morgan Stanley‑sponsored benefit programs.
