Position Overview Ryder is immediately hiring for a Warehouse Team Lead Manager Support in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The role involves leading a warehouse team to achieve operational excellence.
Compensation & Schedule
Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hour
Shift differential: $1.00 per hour for 2nd Shift
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2nd Shift 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Job Description
Lead continuous improvement efforts to maximize operational efficiency.
Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Allocate resources and organize daily work duties for team members to optimize shift and team logistics.
Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPIs using appropriate leadership styles.
Assist with orientation, technology provision, and tools training for new employees.
Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
Manage day‑to‑day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations and service levels.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One (1) year or more experience with powered industrial trucks preferred.
One (1) year or more experience as a team lead preferred.
One (1) year or more experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
Knowledge and/or experience with an advanced RF scanner required.
Valid forklift operator’s license certified.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective leadership skills.
Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proactive approach to responsibilities.
Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
Adherence to health and safety methods.
Bilingual (for Québec locations only).
