Survey Project Manager

Salaries Base pay:
$135,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the Department Head in preparing proposals, estimates, presentations, employee evaluations, and the recruiting process.
SIT or LS required.
Proficiency in CAD, Least Squares Reduction, and other survey software.
Experience with GIS platforms is desirable.
Experience with Robotic Total Stations, GPS (including post-processing).
Experience with scanners, drones, and other emerging technologies is desirable.
Be registered in Georgia or demonstrate ability to become registered within a year as a Land Surveyor.
Demonstrate record of success on ALTA, route/database, boundaries, topographical, inventory, and other types of surveys.
Coordinate with office staff and clients as required.
Create and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
Have project management experience.
Participate in pre‑survey planning meetings with project managers, resident engineers, and contractor representatives.
Adhere to local, state, and federal survey regulations as well as Accura Engineering procedures.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field from an accredited program or equivalent work experience preferred. Two‑year degrees plus experience accepted.
Professional Land Surveyor in Georgia required; licenses in other states desirable.
Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) experience required.
10+ years of experience managing survey projects of varying sizes and complexity.
8+ years of experience in land surveying.
SIT license.
107 Remote Pilot’s Certification a plus.
Advanced knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Carlson.
LiDAR collection and software experience (TopoDOT and Pix4D) a plus.
Experience with GDOT MicroStation/Open Roads Design (ORD) desirable.
Working knowledge of GDOT SUE process desirable.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to be insurable.
