Job Description Assists in performing technical maintenance. The work requires the ability to learn and apply established methods, procedures, and techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities

Works independently by applying comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents

Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments

Responsible for determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes

Exercises judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow

Uses complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment

Installs and troubleshoots military and commercial radios in Combat Vehicles, Tactical Vehicles and base stations

Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications

Must have 5 years applicable experience or completion of formal training and 3 years applicable experience

Physical Qualifications

The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field where you are subject to the environment

Must be capable of frequent squatting, crouching, standing, climbing, stooping, and sitting, sometimes for extended periods

Must be able to ascend and descend equipment

Must be able to visually distinguish colors

Must have good manual dexterity

Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted

Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions

Must pass a pre-employment drug screening periodic retest

Must be able to successfully complete a background screening

Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment

Rate of Pay/Benefits Hourly Rate: $49.22
