Aerodyn Engineering is seeking an experienced
EDM Machinist / Programmer
to join our precision aerospace manufacturing team in
Indianapolis, IN . This is a hands-on role focused on
Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, and Fast Hole EDM machining
— producing complex, tight-tolerance components for the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and program
Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, and Fast Hole EDM
machines (Mitsubishi and similar)
Read and interpret
blueprints, engineering drawings, and job routers
to meet tolerances of ±0.0005” to ±0.005”
Machine aerospace-grade materials such as
Inconel, Hastelloy, Titanium, and 17-4 PH
Program EDM machines with appropriate feeds, speeds, and depths using
G-code
(Mastercam and NX experience preferred)
Use
precision measurement tools
(calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, portable CMMs) to verify quality
Document work and track job status within ERP systems (Epicor or similar)
Collaborate with engineers and machinists to solve technical challenges
Participate in overtime as needed, including weekends

Required Qualifications
3–5 years of
EDM machining experience
in an aerospace or R&D-focused environment
Proven ability to
program and set up complex EDM jobs
(Fast Hole, Wire, and/or Sinker)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Proficient with
G-code programming , Mastercam and/or Siemens NX preferred
Familiar with conventional and CNC machining tools and principles
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and professional in communication and conduct
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Climate-controlled, clean, and modern facility
Must be able to stand, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and operate machinery throughout the shift
Fine motor dexterity required for precision work
