Islandia CDL A Driver
Join to apply for the Islandia CDL A Driver role at US Foods
Location: Perth Amboy, NJ
Schedule: 5-6 day shifts (Home Daily) including weekends. 2am-4am dispatch until complete (12-14 hour shifts). 10-15 average stops per day.
Base hourly rate: $25.83 - $50/hr. Compensation depends on relevant experience, education, skills, function, and location.

Responsibilities
Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery requirements.
Carefully unload products from the trailer using a two‑wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place them in designated customer storage areas.
Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures.
Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance the client experience.
Perform all pre‑trip and post‑trip equipment inspections.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift.
Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift).
Qualifications
Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse (required by DOT).
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence.
Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) or three months in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
Ability to operate a manual transmission (preferred; may be required in specific locations).
Must be able to read, communicate, and understand English (reading, speaking, writing, and comprehension).
