Overview
Caltrol is hiring a Lifecycle Services Technician I in Las Vegas, NV. You will provide field repair and shop services for valves, actuators, and general valve instrumentation. Our ideal candidate is a high‑energy, self‑starter with a background in process controls. This position is field‑heavy. During the first year, extended travel, including overnight stays, will be required for training. Hiring Range The hiring range for this position is $28.00 – $34.00 per hour. This is the pay scale range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience of the candidate, along with the requirements of the position.
What you’ll be doing:
Perform the majority of work and services in the field.
Repair valves, actuators, and instrumentation in the Caltrol Shop.
Support other repair locations in our west coast territory (AZ, CA, NV).
Local customer pick‑up and delivery services for valves.
Maintenance of Caltrol Valve Shop and equipment.
Assist in maintaining shop equipment.
Drive company/work truck to perform field services.
Stay current on all training, classes, and certifications needed to access customer facilities.
What we’re looking for:
High school diploma.
2–3 years of experience as a field service technician, instrumentation technician, and/or demonstration of general electrical/mechanical competency.
2–3 years of experience working on control valves.
Strong knowledge of valve actuators, pneumatic actuators, and hydraulic actuators.
Previous experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate written work instructions, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
Strong mechanical knowledge.
Welding experience preferred.
MUST have a valid Driver’s License, a clean driving record, and the ability to operate company vehicles safely.
Strong Customer Service skills.
Verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.
Previous training in Instrumentation, control valves, or isolation valves is a PLUS!!
Physical Demands Ability to understand and safely use hand and power tools. Must be able to travel and work in confined spaces or on elevated platforms.
Travel This position is field‑heavy. Frequent travel to Emerson, other Caltrol sites, and customer sites for support. Some overnight travel is required.
