Perform work in at least two or more of the following trades in the maintenance and repair of buildings and related fixtures or with significant emphasis in one of the higher‑level licensed trades: Electrical; Heating, Ventilation and Cooling; or Plumbing. Plumbing: Make basic repairs to sinks, faucets, commodes, tanks, urinals, P‑traps, shut‑off valves, washers, water heaters, garbage disposals, etc. Washer/Dryer repair: Perform routine maintenance, clean lint ducts and vents, replace hoses and fittings. Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC): Diagnose and repair faulty equipment, trace and locate defects, plan work, select proper tools and testing devices. Electrical: Recognize and report electrical problems, replace ballasts, bulbs, tubes, perform repairs, splice, solder, insulate defective wiring. Carpentry: Measure, cut, construct or repair wood or wood‑substitute items, including screens, frames, moldings, drywall, shelving, etc. Painting: Prepare surfaces, apply brushes, rollers or spray guns, ensure coating finish meets protection requirements. Maintain work order log, report status to supervisor, log trouble calls with contractors. Perform variety of semi‑skilled and unskilled tasks related to operation and maintenance of facilities. Follow safety and environmental rules, complete required safety/security training. Stand, bend, walk, push, pull, climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, work in uncomfortable positions; lift up to 45 lbs unassisted, 100 lbs assisted. Work indoors and outdoors, potentially in extreme weather or dusty conditions; PPE provided. Work on own initiative, refer unattended problems to supervisor. Travel to other facilities may be required; a valid state driver license may be required. Workdays may include weekends, holidays, rotating shifts; overtime may be required. General Experience
One year of experience in general maintenance practices involving the upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures, equipment, etc. Specialized Experience
Three years of general maintenance work in a variety of trade practices associated with air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting, with knowledge of safety and environmental rules and regulations concerning procedures, tools, mechanical and electrified equipment. Physical Requirements
Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing; frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; recognized professional certification or license in one trade preferred. Location
