Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Duration: 36 weeks (ASAP – May 23, 2026)
Caseload: 35–50 students
Grade Levels: All ages
Pay Rate: $42/hr
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team in San Antonio, TX. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to support students with speech and language needs. This role involves clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related responsibilities within the scope of the assigned plan of care.
Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing speech and language programs as directed by the supervising SLP
Provide direct treatment to students under supervision
Document student progress and maintain accurate records
Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote student success
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Minimum Requirements:
Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or a bachelor’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience
Current SLPA certification or licensure in the state of Texas
One (1) year of prior SLPA experience preferred
Compliance with professional standards of practice
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x‑ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
Must be at least 18 years of age
