Position Overview
We are seeking two Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to support Speech Language Pathologists in providing speech and language services to middle school students. This role includes clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities within the scope of responsibilities assigned by the supervising SLP and/or physician.
Assignment Details
Location: Killeen, TX
Start Date: January 19, 2026
End Date: May 28, 2026
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Hours: 37.5 per week
Duration: 18 weeks
Pay Rate: $35/hour
Openings: 2
Modality: In-person
Interview: Virtual
Responsibilities
Provide individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals
Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
Document student progress and maintain therapy records
Assist with screenings (not evaluations)
Prepare therapy materials and maintain equipment
Communicate with teachers and staff regarding student needs
Follow district, state, and ASHA guidelines for SLPA practice
Requirements
Graduate of an SLPA program with an associate's degree OR bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders
Minimum 100 hours of supervised field work or equivalent clinical experience
Current certification or licensure as an SLPA in the state of practice
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
One year of prior SLPA experience preferred
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
