Fleet Preventative Maintenance Technician – Non‑Exempt, competitive hourly, 2nd shift. Join our dynamic team. Responsibilities include traveling with maintenance supplies to dispersed equipment, performing on‑site maintenance on all machinery and vehicles, monitoring inventory, inspecting vehicles, and performing preventative maintenance. Role is planned for off‑shift work and is flexible to include nights and weekends. Physical and mental fitness is required. Mechanic Responsibilities
Communicate within the organization to coordinate and schedule PM activities efficiently. Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles. Operate and inspect machines or vehicles to diagnose defects or functionality problems and alert clients on issues that prohibit vehicles from passing inspection. Assemble mechanical components according to specifications. Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records in written or electronic form. Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary. Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users. Operate individually and within a team environment. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures; perform daily equipment inspections and identify and correct unsafe conditions. Mechanic Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Knowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling. Certification from a vocational or trade school is preferred. A minimum of 2 years of journeyman‑level mechanic experience. In‑depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems. Strong attention to detail and aptitude for problem‑solving. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical requirements: ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, twist, climb, balance, bend, kneel, reach, grasp, squat, perform repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements, use wrists, use both feet, use arms, work extended periods in the same position, tolerate extreme temperatures, lift and carry up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, use respiratory and other personal protective equipment. Valid driver’s license. Pass a background/MVR check and a pre‑employment drug test. We Offer
