Landscape Maintenance Worker (Continuous) (Grade 7)
Position Overview:
This is manual work requiring physical strength in maintaining City grounds, parking facilities, parks, alleys, easements, and highways. The role requires skill in operating small to medium equipment, trucks, and farm tractors. Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of grounds and parking facility maintenance tasks, operating small to medium sized tractors and mowers, scheduling or performing preventive maintenance, and carrying out minor repairs.
Schedule:
4‑hour shifts, Monday‑Thursday 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or Tuesday‑Friday 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Qualifications and Special Requirements:
Some experience in grounds maintenance or construction work and some experience driving a truck or tractor, or mower; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. A valid Driver’s License is required. A Class B CDL is desirable.
