As an Assistant Manager at Cinemark, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are achieved. You will be cross‑trained in all departments, provide training to employees, and may advance to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program.
Role Summary Assist in overall theatre operation and support the General Manager, ensuring growth and superior service to guests.
Responsibilities
Follow direction of the General Manager.
Support GM’s decisions in staff communication.
Work in all departments and theatre job functions.
Train and coach team members in their specific job functions.
Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports.
Inspect theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, signage, equipment, and property.
Report building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager.
Ensure team members follow the dress code.
Interact with guests to improve service and ensure superior customer service.
Learn and follow policies and procedures, enforce them fairly and consistently.
Report employee relations issues to the General Manager or via the specified reporting protocol.
Maintain high work‑ethic standards and code of conduct.
Sanitize high‑contact areas.
Use personal protective equipment while completing position‑specific tasks.
Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks.
Address safety or security issues such as trip hazards or suspicious persons.
Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
Completion of three basic courses within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.
Completion of basic food‑handling training and any required local or state certification.
Safe Alcohol Service training for those working with alcohol.
Availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Consistent attendance.
Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
Excellent guest service skills.
Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
Effective verbal and written communication in English.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
Ability to take and follow direction.
Sense of urgency.
Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to train and lead others.
Conflict resolution skills.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre.
Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
Ability to work while standing for extended periods.
