Full-Time Assistant Manager – Cinemark

Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are achieved.
They are cross‑trained in all departments and provide inspirational training to all employees.
The Assistant Manager can progress to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working a minimum of six months in the role.
Responsibilities
Follow the direction of the General Manager.
Support General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff.
Work in all departments and perform all theatre job functions.
Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions.
Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager.
Observe and participate in the inspection of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, Cinemark property, roof, and exterior signage, and equipment condition.
Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager.
Ensure that theatre Team Members follow the dress code.
Interact with guests to improve service in the theatre and ensure that Team Members provide superior customer service.
Learn and follow the policies and procedures as established in Cinemark’s Guidelines, enforcing them fairly and consistently with all Team Members.
Report all employee relations issues to the General Manager; in the GM’s absence, report to www.convercent.com.
Follow the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol.
Maintain a high work‑ethic standard and code of conduct.
Identify and sanitize high‑contact areas.
Use personal protective equipment while completing position‑specific tasks.
Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks.
Address safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.).
Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School or GED graduate preferred.
Completion of three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.
Basic food‑handling training and any required local or state certification, health card, or food handlers permit.
Safe Alcohol Service training for those working with alcohol.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Regular and consistent attendance.
Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift.
Excellent guest service skills.
Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication in English.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
Ability to take and follow direction.
Sense of urgency in responding to tasks.
Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to train and lead others.
Conflict resolution skills.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre.
Moderate to high noise levels at times.
Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
