Responsibilities:
Carry out a wide range of tasks to maintain production machinery and plant facility equipment.
Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs on production equipment during operations, as well as scheduled maintenance during planned service intervals.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical repair manuals, and electrical schematics.
Safely operate forklifts and scissor lifts.
Perform basic machinist tasks as required.
Apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery.
Review and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to complete maintenance and service tasks accurately.
Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair components, test functionality, and make necessary adjustments.
Assist with routine preventive maintenance for machinery, equipment, and plant facilities.
Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material-handling equipment.
Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report irregular conditions to appropriate supervision.
Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Required Experience:
An Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, and Industrial Maintenance or equivalent of work experience required.
At least 5 years of Manufacturing experience; strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with a background in production maintenance.
Basic computer skills.
Strong math skills.
Dedicated and takes pride in providing a high level of detail towards equipment maintenance, projects, general housekeeping and maintaining all shop areas in a neat and organized fashion.
Manufacturing, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills required.
Knowledge of equipment used in the plastic extrusion industry is preferred but not required.
