Job Overview The Contents Restoration Technician plays a critical role in helping clients recover from disasters by providing expert contents cleaning and restoration services. Reporting to the General Manager, this position focuses on restoring personal and commercial contents with skill, efficiency, and a customer-first mindset. Candidates should be able to manage complex restoration tasks, maintain open communication with clients and team members, and embody the core values of My Contents. Key Responsibilities Contents restoration and cleaning: restore damaged items to pre-loss condition; work residential and commercial settings; participate in on-site mitigation and emergency services. Client and team communication: communicate effectively with property owners, explain processes, address concerns, and maintain regular updates with the project management team. Warehouse and inventory oversight: participate in warehouse cleaning and organization; ensure proper inventory tracking using software tools. General support: assist with furniture moving and heavy lifting up to 75 lbs; perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Experience: prior experience in contents restoration strongly preferred; moving and packing experience a plus. Certifications: IICRC certification is a significant advantage. Technical skills: familiarity with industry software, including Encircle preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to use smartphones and apps for communication and reporting. Communication skills: strong verbal and written communication; ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and manuals effectively. Physical requirements: capability to lift and move items up to 75 pounds; comfortable working in environments with moderate noise levels and varying conditions. Problem-solving ability: able to solve practical problems with limited standardization and interpret various instructions effectively. Work Environment Moderate noise levels in warehouse and on-site locations. Conditions may include exposure to damaged properties affected by water, smoke, fire, or other disasters.
