The Warehouse Supervisor is a support function that works closely with the Distribution Center Manager, all employees, scheduling, procurement, production, suppliers, IT, customers, and freight carriers. The position will include shared responsibility for all warehouse functions and day‑to‑day operations.
Responsibilities
Follows all safety procedures in performing work as well as company policies
Enforces all safety procedures and company policies
Planning and control including work distribution and briefing of employees
Plan and schedule delivery of goods and services daily and review for operational gaps and improvements
Direct warehouse team on sequence to fill orders, build pallets of finished goods against the pick ticket, review daily orders and adjust orders where required
Planning and controlling the movement of goods within the agreed customer SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
Monitor and maintain the operations KPIs ensuring efficient utilization of resources and quality control
Ensuring proper paperwork supports system transactions and Food Safety initiatives
Prepare regular reports, perform audits on various operations and evaluate processes as per business requirements
Analyze all opportunities and recommend ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Be knowledgeable about distribution channels, rules, regulations, and procedures
Maintain good working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners
Administer performance feedback in departments through efficient coaching and monitoring
Monitor all administrative functions as per requirements
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred
3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, including 1+ year in a supervisory role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software
Forklift certification is a plus
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
