Location: Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Facility: Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Department: Distribution, Status: Per Diem, Shift: Day, Pay Range: $19.70 per hour.

Job Overview The Supply Chain Clerk is responsible for performing supply chain activities, including but not limited to, distribution, warehouse, storeroom and receiving functions within the facility at the direction of Supply Chain leadership. Performs receiving functions, PAR stocking and replenishment and storeroom activities using hospital technology. Assists SC management in facilitating and expediting the flow of materials to and from departments within the medical center maintaining chain of custody for all products.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Valid NJ Driver's License preferred
Computer knowledge preferred
Good communication skills required
Hospital experience preferred
Scheduling Requirement Per Diem days.
Essential Functions
Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, training and initiatives.
Reports any safety concerns to management.
Keeps work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards and obstructions.
Manages inventory according to policy & procedure.
Manages all inbound and outbound deliveries in compliance with policy & procedure.
Manages perpetual inventory as outlined in policy & procedure.
Exercises problem-solving skills to meet customer needs.
Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service.
Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records.
Supports teamwork by cooperative problem-solving through participation in meetings, projects, etc.
Utilizes principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess, measure and improve organizational and department functions.
Organizes work, sets priorities with a minimum of supervision and seeks guidance as appropriate.
