150-bed hospital
serving the greater Shiawassee County area. This is an excellent opportunity for a social worker with
OB population experience
looking for a well-supported, short-term contract assignment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING Required
: 2+ years of experience
as a Licensed Medical Social Worker 1+ year of experience working with OB population Master’s Degree in Social Work
from an accredited institution Active Michigan LMSW License BLS Certification (AHA) COVID-19 Vaccination Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide psychosocial assessments and counseling to OB patients and families Support patients with discharge planning, care coordination, and community resources Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams Address social, emotional, and environmental factors impacting patient care Advocate for patient needs and ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies
