We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead operations at a high-volume long-term care pharmacy in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
This role is ideal for a pharmacy leader with LTC management experience who is looking to step away from retail-focused environments. The PIC will oversee daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support a collaborative pharmacy team in delivering high-quality patient care.
Term of Assignment: Direct Hire | Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday: Primarily day shift Evening coverage as needed Occasional weekends as required
Job Duties: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations Oversee daily pharmacy operations including prescription dispensing and patient care services Maintain accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances Develop, implement, and maintain pharmacy policies and procedures Provide leadership, guidance, and support to pharmacists, technicians, and staff Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and feedback Oversee inventory management to maintain appropriate stock levels while minimizing waste Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurers, and other stakeholders to resolve medication-related issues Address customer inquiries and concerns with a focus on excellent service Stay current on regulatory changes, industry trends, and new medications Lead quality improvement initiatives and operational efficiency efforts Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance and safety Maintain a clean, safe work environment following all safety and infection control protocols
Requirements: Clear and active
Massachusetts Pharmacist license 2–4 years of long-term care (LTC) pharmacy experience Recent pharmacy management experience (LTC strongly preferred) Experience as a PIC outside of retail pharmacy setting Willingness to learn
