Pharmacist‑In‑Charge – Long‑Term Care Pharmacy | New Orleans, LA
Compensation: $135,000–$150,000 annually.
We’re hiring a
Pharmacist‑In‑Charge
to lead a high‑performing pharmacy operation focused on the IDD and behavioral health community. No nights or weekends required.
What You’ll Do
Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including order entry, production, and compliance workflows.
Lead and supervise pharmacists, technicians, and the distribution team with a people‑first, results‑driven approach.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies (State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA).
Develop and enforce policies around medication procurement, storage, and security.
Maintain all required licenses and lead responses to audits and regulatory inquiries.
Monitor industry trends and communicate regulatory updates to the pharmacy team.
Support continuous workflow improvements and participate in system transitions.
Champion a collaborative, high‑integrity work culture.
What You Bring
Active Louisiana Pharmacist License.
5+ years of pharmacy experience, with at least 3 years in a PIC or leadership role within long‑term care.
Proven record of regulatory compliance and team leadership.
Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
Comfortable navigating a fast‑paced environment and tight deadlines.
FrameworkLTC experience a plus (not required).
Ability to de‑escalate issues and troubleshoot pharmacy operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
